Pretty much straight off while keeping tension off the arm. You may have to pry a little.

There is a tiny hole close to the mounting tab. Slide a nail just big enough for the hole through it (top and bottom hole) with the wiper arm pulled away from the windshield. This'll take the tension off of the arm and it'll pop right off without scratching or breaking anything.

Default Not really clear

Is this for the entire arm? I need to remove the Windshield Wiper arms from my truck.

Yep, this removes the entire arm and blade from the wiper studs that come through the cowl panel.

Just remember if you have to yank then it is not free from being able to come off. You may have to wiggle the arm alittle to get it to come loose if it has never been off before. Good luck.

To remove the wiper arm, you need to find the small, flat metal tab release which holds onto the bottom of the wiper gear head. It is very difficult to see without using a small mirror.

Once you locate the metal tab, use a small screw driver or a hook to pull the it out beyond the outer diameter of the gear head. While holding the tab off the gear head, try to pry the arm off up. I recommend placing a small piece of wood...the kind of wood paint stirs that you get at Lowes or Home Depot...so you don't damage the painted surface.

Good luck!

The way I mentioned in post #4 is alot easier and does not run the risk of scratching the paint at all.
