Default 1991 S-10 heater core removal?

Been searching for 30 minutes and can't quite find a specific answer so starting a new post. Sorry if duplicated elsewhere. How do you replace a heater core on a 1991 S-10 4x2? Some folks say dash must come off, some it doesn't. Depends on model year. Help please.

Thanks for your quick reply. It's about 100 degrees outside right now and I've been sweating a ton. I got several screws off the cover and it wiggles but still won't come off. I really need a definitive answer as to whether the dash has to come off - I really don't want it to come to that. If so I'll just bypass the core and woory about it come winter.

ok well...um....gr..take the inside of teh glove box OFF so u can see the heater core box better....thn you can see if there are more screw holdin it in....plus u will have more room to get tools under the dash....also..u can LOOSEN the dash a lil to pull it back out of your way some without taking it off...

OK. Seem to be down to one last screw - upper left hand corner. Can't quite get to it. So.....if need be - how do you loosen the dash?

Got that son of a gun out! Didn't have to take out or loosen the dashboard but did have to slide the radio out to get to the last screw. Also had to remove an access panel inside the glove box to get at a screw. Pretty much took me all day because I was clueless when I started. I purposely did not reinstall the hard to get at screws for the heater core cover in case I had to do this again at some point.

Before I buttoned everything back up I started it to check for leaks. Everything OK. Reassembled all the trim work and then started it again and backed it of the garage. This morning THE DAMN THING WON'T START. It turns over and if I pour fuel into the carb it runs for a few seconds. Fuel pump evidently not working. Fuses are OK and I wiggled wire bundles under the dash but no luck. Hard to believe fuel pump goes out less than 24 hours after replacing the heater core. Can't hear pump making any noise when key turned. I have to believe I pulled something loose but the heck would it start and run not once but twice and then crap out. SIGH.........
